HP has announced that he would deliver a version of WebOS compatible with x86 processors and will be designed to run on laptops and desktop PCs. We already knew that the firm intended to incorporate WebOS in printers and other products where it did not used to seeing the old Palm system. HP has also bought last year to have a system that can bypass Windows.
The firm decided to combine these two objectives by offering a version of WebOS which will be available before Windows starts. HP does not seem to want to replace the Microsoft operating system, but shares rise WebOS to have a machine park large enough to attract developers and inflate its shares so that IOS and Android are being cut by lion.
HP is the first PC manufacturer in the world and he hopes to use its position to rapidly democratize its new investment. Historically, this is not the first time HP is trying out this exercise. In 1989, the firm went out NewWave object-oriented office environment that was a layer that can be affixed on Windows 2.0 and 3.0.
Apple has yet hit the draft patent infringement litigation and Microsoft made the software compatible with the release of Windows 95. Things are still very different today's OS and phones are increasingly popular. Apple is beginning to bear elements of IOS on Mac OS X. Google tries to penetrate this market with Chrome OS.
HP has decided to jump on that train.
