Nexus S: Super LCD or AMOLED in France?

Nexus S, the latest phone from Google, arrived in France on February 18 at SFR, but we do not know the exact version of the phone. Indeed, prior to production problems, there are two models of Nexus S: one and one in AMOLED LCD screen Super. While the choice may seem trivial, it is not. At the same screen, the AMOLED is more mixed, but colors often seen as false and is less luminous than the LCD screen Super.

The latter is less contrast, LCD requires, but is brighter and clearer, because the structure of sub-pixels. By cons, where there's a big difference is the level of consumption: Super LCD consumes more. And to keep the same autonomy, Google (Samsung, in fact) had to increase the size of the battery.

In practice, a model measures 63 x AMOLED 123.9 x 10.88 mm for 129 g, a super model LCD measurement cons 63 x 125 x 11.5 mm for 140 grams ... In France, it's pretty vague. If the U.S. version as well AMOLED, we do not know the exact version here. SFR page views among states bestow good DCL.

By cons, on the Google France dedicated to the phone, the company speaks well of AMOLED display, while the page of our friends speak of a Teutonic version of Super LCD. In practice, two possibilities: either Google or SFR is wrong, or both versions will be sold in France, in different channels.

Finally, we would clearly indicate that manufacturers change the slab, as with the Galaxy S: LCD version called Super Galaxy SL.
