MSI 990FXA-GD80: specifications

The arrival of the new AMD Bulldozer, or FX-Series, is always as close as you can imagine the amount of details that emerge from the manufacturers of motherboards Socket AM3 +. Today is the turn of the flagship home of MSI, as indicated 990FXA-GD80 "Big Bang Conqueror." This motherboard is equipped with Socket AM3 + with support for AMD FX-series and is based on AMD 990FX chipset with SB950 SouthBridge.

The CPU is powered by a 10-stage circuitry to be used when tantalum capacitors, coils and chokes SFC Driver-MOSFET (DrMOS). The expansion slots include four PCI-Express 2.0 x16 support NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFireX configurations, two PCI-E x1 and one PCI. There are six SATA 6 Gb / s directly managed by the chipset, an eSATA connection connected to a third party controllers, two USB 3.0 ports on the rear panel and two additional headers on the PCB, 8 +2 channel audio with THX TruStudio Pro a gigabit Ethernet port and a FireWire.

MSI also offers a number of exclusive features such as click MSI BIOS and OC Genie II. The MSI-GD80 990FXA should be announced in mid-June at a price of between 175 and 250 dollars.
