Apple will be the biggest customer of Samsung

According to the Korea Economic Daily newspaper, Apple would become the first customer of Samsung with a series of orders totaling $ 7.8 billion (approx. 5.8 billion euros). The Cupertino company is used to place large orders to take advantage of low prices, maintain inventory and stifle competition.

This strategy is not new, but with the various successes of the firm, the controls are becoming increasingly important. Despite the fact that Samsung is a competitor of Apple in the market for tablets and smartphones, both companies have trade long ago. Cupertino usual to provide in NAND (see "Apple robs Samsung") and uses its facilities to manufacture its processor A4 (see "Apple Samsung S5PC110A01 = A4 = Cortex A8").

He also bought some LCD screens, although its primary supplier is LG (see "Apple gives $ 500 million to LG). We remember that last January, Apple announced it had made an investment of 3.9 billion dollars for the purchase of components (see "Record Sales for Apple"). iSuppli said it was a command screen from Sharp, LG and Toshiba.

The fact that the amount advanced by the Korean newspaper is exactly two times larger appears to confirm rumors that spoke of a greater investment than those announced during the last financial conference. Apple can certainly afford it since it has a cash flow of $ 50 billion.
