Announced earlier this month by Asus, the Eee Pad Slider should - except bad surprise - made its appearance on the market by September. Meanwhile, the manufacturer has unveiled the features of his official toy. Running Android 3.1 (with the ability to upgrade to Android 3.2), the tablet features a sliding keyboard has a multitouch screen (10 fingers) 10.1-inch diagonal, benefiting from a system LED backlight and can display a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
The Eee Pad Slider features a dual-core processor Tegra 2 1 GHz, 1 GB and 16 GB or 32 GB eMMC. There is also a 1.2 megapixel webcam and a 5 megapixel sensor in the front, an audio SRS Sound Supreme, a microSD card reader, 802.11n WiFi controller and USB connectors, mini HDMI and audio. The conventional accelerometers, light sensors, gyroscopes and GPS are also present.
The built-in battery provides for its autonomy 8 hours of video playback 720p. With dimensions of 273 x 180 x 17 mm, the Eee Pad Slider finally shows a weight of 960 grams on the scales.
