The Taiwan Apacer Technology has upgraded its family of high performance RAM ARES with a new kit from the total capacity of 8GB. The kit, specifically designed for demanding gamers and overclocking enthusiasts, using two 4GB modules selected and tested on Intel P55/67 and Z68 to run in dual channel at a frequency of 2133MHz with latencies access 9-11-9-27 and supply voltage of 1.65v.
The modules are cooled by a heatsink attached to the flashy heatspreaders via a single heatpipe. This solution improves the dissipation of heat when operating off-specification (and overclocking overvolt). ARES kit DDR3-2133 8GB is guaranteed for life, but at the moment we do not know the details on price and availability.
