Z-01 (Desna), the APU Shelf AMD

Currently, AMD does not really dedicated to the x86 processor market for touch pads. Even if the Fusion C-50 is already built into the Tablet Tab Iconia W500 Acer, its TDP of 9W is still a bit too high for this type of machine. The manufacturer is thus to unveil the Fusion Z-01 (Desna), an APU comprising two cores clocked at Bobcat x86 1 GHz and a Radeon HD 6250 supports DirectX 11 and can play 1080p HD content.

A priori engraved in 40nm, the chip has a TDP of 5.9 watts more reasonable. Good news, the APU is already available since the tablet WindPad 110W MSI would use it. Desna however like a more or less temporary solution allowing AMD to invest now in the market for touch pads while awaiting the arrival of Hondo in 2012, an APU which the TDP is expected to be about 3 watts of ...
