Asus has formally announced at Computex 2011, its new concept of a hybrid between smart phones and tablets, hidden in the guise of Padfone. The new device brings together a smartphone with a 4.3-inch 10.1-inch tablet Android 3 (the operating system will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich Android smartphone that is usable on the tablet).
The smartphone Padfone can be inserted into a dock on the back of the tablet to provide you with an overview of the extensive content. When your smartphone is connected to the tablet is taking energy from the battery charger of the tablet and, in contrast, provides the 3G network to connect to the Internet.
We currently do not know many details about the hardware platform used by ASUS for the two devices, but the manufacturer says it is trying to achieve a final solution which would come to market within the next fall.
