AMD presents the first Llano A

AMD has officially unveiled the first Llano processors for desktop. These include an APU and a x86 chipset on the same die. The models today are the A8-3850-3000 A8, A6 and A6-3650-3600. They are engraved in 32 nm and include a dual-channel DDR3 memory controller. Their IGP can be coupled to a dedicated graphics card for more performance and call an AMD chipset motherboard A75 and FM1.

It is a symbolic step for AMD, which finally reveals the fruits of her union with ATI in the market for desktop computers. Earlier this year, AMD Fusion for the first marketed to compete with Atom. The reception of these processors that we know under the code names of Ontario and Zacate was positive.

Our test of the new Llano, which will be online within a few hours, show that the architecture has serious benefits, and if the processor's execution units are not as efficient as those of a Sandy Bridge, the Llano graphics chip offers a much more interesting than the HD 3000 Graphics from Intel and offers the final performances of more balanced and probably more suitable for common uses of the average consumer.

The flight that we will bring you two weeks ago proved to be accurate and formal characteristics of the processors are identical.
