If one believes the figures published by the institute IDC, the market for microprocessors would have risen 1.6% between the last quarter of 2010 and first quarter 2011. In one year, growth was 7.4%. Intel of course remains on the top spot with 80.8% market share. It is followed by AMD and 18.9%, followed by VIA which allows itself to 0.2% market share.
