31.6 billion in sales for HP

The manufacturer HP has announced its results for the second quarter of its fiscal year, which ended April 30 last. The turnover for this period reached 31.6 billion dollars in revenue up from last year (30.8 billion dollars) but lower than the turnover achieved during the previous quarter (32 3 billion dollars).

Earnings reached its next $ 2.3 billion. If the department "Personal computers" saw its revenues decline 5% in one year because of slowing demand for PCs, other departments have, however seen their turnover increase (+5% for the "imaging and Printing ", +2% for services, 17% for the financial department and 15% for enterprise servers, storage and network).

For the current quarter, HP hopes to finally achieve an income of between 31.1 and 31.3 billion dollars.
