Samsung announced its new ARM SoC, designed for smartphones, the Exynos 4210. Formerly known as the Orion ARM SoC that has two cores and operates (only) 1 GHz. The company gives no information on the technical side, but you can bet on a CPU type Cortex A9 and a PowerVR GPU, surely a type SGX54xMP 5XT Series.
The name of the chip, Exynos is derived from two Greek words: exypnos (skill, intelligence) and prasinos (green) to show that the chip is efficient and consumes little. The chip goes into production next month and should get off quickly in smartphones and tablets.
