Powercolor Radeon HD 6870 X2 was officially presented in these days, but apparently it is not exclusive to the American brand owned by Taiwan TUL Corporation. Even the Dutch Club3D has announced a solution very similar and this suggests that behind the HD 6870 X2 project there is direct support of AMD.
The card is equipped with two GPUs Barts XT (2 x 1120 SPs) on a single PCB housed in a custom HD 5970. Each GPU has direct access to 1GB of GDDR5 memory interface 256-bit. The clock speeds are 900MHz for the core and 4200MHz for the memory (the same as HD 6870), the video outputs are 5 (2xDVI, HDMI 1.4 and 2 1 mini-DP) and the cooling system is a dual-solution slot / dual-fan with 6 heatpipes.
The price of the Radeon HD 6870 X2 is 469 U.S. dollars.
