Freebox Revolution bridge mode available this summer

Good news for the Freebox Revolution, the bridge mode will finally be available this summer, almost seven months after the release of the housing. Whereas the launch - the Freebox V5 proposed by - the bridge mode was (and is) absent from the Freebox Revolution, a lack that should fix Free this summer.

Remember, without a device in bridge mode to disable the routing functions of the latter, to use another router more effective or more comprehensive. This is especially important in companies, who prefer to use their own routing system, and certain individuals who use access points Wi-Fi external.

In bridge mode, the Freebox Revolution should behave as a simple modem, have to see how Free will manage the shared hard drive in this mode. While in the V5 platform's hard drive was in the Media Center platform V6 deported it to the modem box and added many features to it, which could complicate things if another device Freebox handles routing.

Note also that the network will finally be usable FreeWiFi with Freebox V6 at the same time: currently, users can use the Revolution offers the community network, but the boxes do not generate the network FreeWiFi, which remains confined to Freebox V5.
