The Danish company Asetek has shown a prototype hybrid air-cooling fluid specifically developed for the GeForce GTX 580. The complete kit, consisting of GPU waterblock with integrated pump - plate VRAM / VRM with nVidia stock fan - heatsink with 120mm fan, will be adopted on XLR8 GTX 580 Enthusiast Edition by PNY.
According to PNY and the Asetek kit is able to lower the noise level of 5dBA and 45.8 ° C GPU temperature in full-load compared to the heat sink referece. From internal testing laboratories in the Asetek PNY XLR8 GTX 580 Enthusiast Edition has been brought to overclock to the frequency of 995/1846/4400 MHz (GPU / SPs / Mem) starting from the default 772/1544/4008MHz.
