Seagate has announced that its SSD Pulsar.2 were sent to dealers, we should see them arrive in stores by the end of the month. The range includes several models and several types of SSD. Pulsar.2 the use of MLC memory and four capacities are available: 100, 200, 400 and 800 GB capacity in each, there are SAS versions 6 gigabits/s and SATA 6 Gbit/s, except for Model 800 GB which exists only in SAS.
All models except the 800 GB, measuring 7 mm thick. Seagate does not give the performance of its SSD but indicates that the SSD can receive 15 PB of data before the memory does not pose problems. The Pulsar XT.2, Seagate announced a lifetime of 25 Po, the memory used in the SLC.
These are only available in SAS 6 gigabits / s, with a capacity of 100, 200 or 400 GB The first two are 7 mm thick, the last reached 15 mm. The performances are correct: 360/300 MB / s read / write and 22,000 IOPS random write 4 KB files.
