OCZ Solid 3: SandForce entry level

While it has not yet been officially launched by OCZ, the Solid 3 has nevertheless already made its appearance in some pre-order e-shops. This is an opportunity to discover its characteristics ... Controller-based SandForce SF-2281, the SSD market for entry-level uses NAND flash memory chips in 25 nm MLC engraved and has a SATA 6 Gbps.

At 2.5-inches, the Solid 3 should be available in capacities of 60 GB and 120 GB for performance, we can expect speeds of around 500 MB / s read and 450 MB / s writing, while performance in reading / writing 4 KB culminate at 20,000 IOPS. Finally reach the MTBF 2 million hours. Currently available at 109 euros respectively and 190 euros, Solid 3 60GB and 120 GB of OCZ have not yet actual availability date.
