Verbatim Launches OLED lights

Verbatim has just announced an interesting innovation: OLED lamps. Under the name Velva, and in partnership with Mitsubishi, they are OLED panels, which can be used to inform, but to create "art" that are proposed. The panels measure 14 x 14 cm and the brightness is announced 1000 cd / m². Programmable, they can change colors: red, green, blue, yellow, magenta and cyan.

In white, different temperatures are available: 2700 K 3000 K 5000 K and 6500 K. Remember that the more the Kelvin, the higher the white is considered "cold" and tends towards blue. The price remains the biggest problem with OLED: about $ 1 000 panel. It is still too expensive to replace conventional bulbs and even the LED models, especially given the lifetime announced, which is only 8000 hours.
