Microsoft shows Windows 7 and IE on ARM 10

For the opening of the conference MIX11, Microsoft has fired on all cylinders: the publisher has published a first "platform preview" of Internet Explorer 10 and has demonstrated on a machine running Windows on a processor Nvidia Tegra 2. This is not entirely a surprise since Steve Ballmer said last January that the next Windows is running on ARM architecture.

The fact that Windows 7 is already compatible shows that the portage was not too difficult. According to witnesses present there, the presentation was very fluid. IE 10 also promises improved support for recent web technologies such as gradients CSS3. The next development versions of IE10 be published every 8 to 12 weeks and still incorporate new standards (eg 3D transformations CSS3).

It is likely that IE10 be launched in final form at the same time as Windows 8 in late 2012.
