Google buys Dealmap, Groupon competitors

As the reports, Google has bought "The Dealmap". The website for bargain hunters is a U.S. startup, which offers discounts of about 450 group-buying websites summarizes and sorted by location. The principle of group-buying Web sites is simple: you offer volume discounts on merchandise purchased at favorable prices.

This followed the merger of Google buying up the market leader. Google has recently launched its. The project is still in beta stage and is now available for only a few U.S. cities. Jennifer Dulski and Chandu Thota Dealmap founded just last year. The company already has two million users who go to the website or by phone app on bargain hunting.


The 15-employee Dealmap go to Google team, further details of the purchase are not known.
