Seagate provides a terabyte of data in a single dish 3.5

Seagate announced the first 3.5-inch hard drive that uses plates with a storage density per area never reached so far, that is 625 Gigabits per square inch and by which each is capable of storing 1TB of data. The first hard drives that use it are the external series Seagate GoFlex Desk which include cuts of up to a maximum of 3TB.

Barracuda models will then follow, again with a maximum capacity of 3TB and cuts 2TB, 1TB and 1.5 TB. GoFlex Desk external drives are compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems: they include an NTFS driver that also works on Mac and allows you to store and access files on both systems without having to format the disk.
