Archos up 30.4 million euros

Archos announced this morning that it had successfully raised new funds beyond his expectations. The group received 2.8 times more applications for subscription of shares that are available. In total, Archos will issue 4, 68 million new shares and increase its capital by 30.4 million euros. The company said that this money coming in will allow it to proceed to the prepayment of a 5 million euro at an annual interest rate of 20%.

Archos will thus increasingly important means to invest in the development of new shelves to less than 400 €, the segment that has brought her success late last year and on which the company put its future in the medium term. According to GfK, Archos has captured 22% of the French market shelves in 2010, leaving Apple to that of models with more than 400 € but confiscating the shelves less than 400 € (69% market share) .

And if the Archos 9 feature an ARM Cortex A9 dual-core 1.6GHz landed property in June, there is no reason to change that.
