Scythe launches huge sink Susanoo

Scythe's Japanese seem to be worried about the size, at least the sink, and they put on the market one which occupies two thirds of the motherboard and weighs more than 1.5kg, the Scythe Susanoo. Scythe returns to the fray with feature double sinks, sink and allow to cool the weights. Brand has long surprised us with the Orochi, now does it again with Susanoo, while recognizing that the design of the latter seems more carefully.

Scythe says it can cool the processor, memory, VRMs and chipset on the motherboard and even the graphics card, given its size. The Susanoo has some measures 210x210x160mm and weighs 1.565 kg The brand FMSB3 the restraint system (backplate and screws) to ensure this monster to the motherboard.

The sink has 2 sections of fins and a generous side at the base sink. Has 12 heatpipes spread to 2 heights at the base of the heatsink, the bottom 6 are in contact with the base of the heat sink and evacuated to the set of fins of larger, while the second set of 6 heatpipes collect heat from the main and guide to the second set of fins and toward the cooler side of the base.

This set of 2 heatpipes heights we saw in the cooler Xigmatek Thor's Hammer, hopefully they have improved the outcome in this offering. Scythe Slip Stream includes 4 100mm fans and with a speed of between 500 and 2000rpm. As usual in Scythe, compatibility is a strong point, the Susanoo can be used in Intel 775 sockets, 1155, 1156 and 1366, as well as the AMD AM2, AM2 + and AM3.

Those interested in strengthening can buy at a price of € 89.90.
