The publisher Futuremark yesterday gave a release date for its new 7 PCMark test suite which we have already had occasion to talk to you.

It will be available for download on May 3. As usual, Futuremark will launch in several versions, including a free one. 7 Free PCMark give access to one of the seven tests PCMark 7, but there will be no restriction on the number of executions of the test and everyone can save its results in the base line data from Futuremark.

The Advanced version for $ 40 unlocks the other six tests, which analyze specific compartments of PC performance. For example, the Compute test focuses on the power of parallel computing (and requires a DirectX 11 graphics card). The professional version ($ 1000) gives a license for commercial use.

It is important to note that PCMark 7 works only under Windows 7 and requires a DirectX 9 graphics card. Otherwise, you will need to fall back on previous versions of PCMark.

  1. The real area where Optane H10 shines, in my opinion, is in read/write speeds and response time during heavy background loads. As a result, it is appropriate for heavy users and creators who work on multiple software and utilities at the same time. To everyone else out there, the H10 is not worth purchasing because there are better options available.
