No shelf Dell Windows 7 before fall

Dell does not deliver its expected shelf Windows 7 before the fall. It is far behind HP and Asus, which are among the few manufacturers who dared take the step. Windows 7 is the system unloved shelves. HP announced a model in January 2010. The HP Slate was presented by Steve Ballmer himself. Palo Alto's finally abandon the original project.

The HP Slate has become a model in the world dedicated professionals (see "The HP Slate is not canceled, but as amended) and HP is now working on a model WebOS (see" Topaz, the HP Tablet webOS fully disclosed " ). Asus has taken over with the Eee Slate EP121 found recently on the market (see "Two tablets Asus).

The problem is that Windows 7 is a good operating system for personal computer, but it is poorly adapted to the world of bars, prompting more than one manufacturer to look elsewhere, that is to say Android. Microsoft is working on this weakness, but should not propose solid solutions before Windows 8.

Dell tablet is a precious jewel in the crown of Microsoft trying to prove that the tablets may well turn on Windows 7. The 10-inch model should be close for the holiday season, but should miss the start of school.
