Samsung unveils two 11.6-and 13.3-inch notebook Series 9

The aesthetics of computer products continues to be increasingly important as the choices of users and the design of their products. Samsung, well aware of this, has just announced the new notebook series 9, which currently has two models with similar features and 11.6 inch and 13.3 inches.

NP900X3A The model weighs just 1.3 pounds and has a thickness of 16.3 mm, values similar to those of the MacBook Air; NP900X1A model weighs about 1kg. To achieve this, Samsung has used a body covered with DuraAlluminio material, lightweight but very strong. In addition, the lithium polymer battery, 6-cell model in the case of 13.3-inch and 4 cells for the 11.6-inch size has reduced by 24% compared with a standard lithium ion battery and superior reliability Samsung does so much that for three years.

Independence is declared more than 6 hours. The LCD panel provides LED backlight and offers a contrast ratio of 1.300:1, a brightness of 400 nits and 16 million colors. The resolution is equal to 1366x768 pixels in both models. Other features include a 128 GB SSD, an Intel Core i5 2530UM 1.4 GHz with 4 GB of RAM for Core and NP900X3A i3 380UM from 1.33 GHz with 2GB of RAM for NP900X1A.

The connection panel includes an HDMI output, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0, memory card slots, Ethernet port, headphone and microphone jacks standard, Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth. To improve the ease of use, Samsung has included a touchpad with a sensitive area with extensive and multi-touch gesture support.

The keyboard, however, takes a stand-alone design with keys well spaced and equipped with a backlight that can be automatically adjusted, along with that of the display, thanks to built-in ambient light sensor. For both the notebook has been installed an operating system Windows 7 Professional.

The commercial availability is scheduled for early April but only for the 13.3-inch model. The smaller one will arrive at the end of April.
