iPhone manufacturer controls his partner: Apple finds child labor and toxic chemicals from suppliers

In the 127 businesses audited were 37 irregularities have been discovered, Apple said in its annual report on working conditions at suppliers. In ten companies were working at control point 91 minors. Working with one of the farms was completed, the others have to check the working conditions better.

One of the sites inspected put 137 workers out in poorly ventilated areas of the health-damaging chemical N-hexane. The company had been instructed not to use the material and improve ventilation. Particularly thoroughly researched by the Apple contract manufacturer Foxconn. Reason: A series of suicides among those who work there saw 2010 for worldwide attention.

Foxconn has been recommended, among other things, to improve the social care of the mostly young employees.
