Unveiled at CES, the shelf "Wintel" S1080 Gigabyte has just made its appearance on the Taiwanese market. Displayed at nearly $ 790, this 10.1-inch touch pad (1024 x 600 pixels) with a processor dual-core Atom N570 clocked at 1.66 GHz and runs on Windows 7 Home Premium (no, not Android here ). There is also a 320 GB hard drive, 1.3 megapixel webcam, 802.11n wireless controllers and Bluetooth 3.0, USB 3.0 and a VGA output, all at a weight of 900 grams.
A memory card reader and a SD card slot for 3G are also available, along with a headphone output. The S1080 should make its appearance outside of Taiwan from next month. Remains to be seen what the price once we arrived in our lands ...
