iFixit has disassembled the Nintendo 3DS. We discover the actors involved in the construction of the portable console. The first thing we find is a 3.7 V battery, 1300 mAh, 5 Wh lithium ion batteries. Autonomy would be only 5 to 8 hours playing a DS game and a classic full recharge takes 3 hours. This is largely due to the faster processor and two screens required for the stereoscopic effect.
The Wi-Fi module is signed Atheros. This is the AR6014 supports b and g. It is unfortunate that Nintendo does not support Wi-Fi No 3DS while Nintendo is expected to remain on the market for many years. The processor uses a Nintendo 3DS 1948 0H built on ARM architecture, the Flash memory from Toshiba and a gyroscope manufactured by Invensense (ITG-3270).
We obviously did not see the graphics processor as it is integrated SoC. This is a circuit that is emerging from a Japanese company called DMP (Digital Media Professionals) and is inspired by his PICA200 introduced in 2006. Finally, there are chips from Texas Instruments and Fujitsu, whose function remains uncertain.
