With the launch of the new Quantum Force Rattler, Foxconn a clear signal that the consumer brand of motherboard is still active. The board is based on the P67 chipset for Intel LGA-1155 (Sandy Bridge) and was developed with users keen to overclock. Foxconn has implemented circuitry 12 +2 phase PWM power supply cooled by a pair of heatsinks connected by dual-heatpipe.
The black PCB has two PCI Express 2.0 x16 red (with support for AMD Crossfire configurations), six SATA ports (4 to 6 Gbps and two 3Gbps), eight USB ports (two and six 2.0 3.0), two eSATA and a FireWire. To signal the revival of a door to the old PATA HDD / optical drives. Two Gigabit Ethernet controllers and the HD audio subsystem manages the sound to 7.1 channels.
Black and red is also the combination of the four RAM slots, which can accommodate DDR3 memory running at 2133MHZ. On-board, in addition to the classic buttons Power / Reset / Clear CMO, the 7-segment display for debugging and under V-checks, there are three additional buttons specific for manual overclocking.
