Sapphire renewing the line of motherboards on its list with several interesting features. Among these, we were able to try the Pure Black X58, high-end platform for users looking for a fast and able to accommodate any request. The Intel X58 + ICH10R is not new, indeed, is on the market for some time, but it is at present a firm and reliable basis for professional workstations and entry-level server, as well as for the construction of gaming machines flexible and powerful.
Socket LGA1366 processors can accommodate only 900 series Intel Core i7 (Bloomfield / Nehalem and Gulftown / Westmere), which are characterized by a high number of cores and internal access to the system bus up to 6.4 QPI GT / s. These CPU, combined with the appropriate motherboard, as well as Black X58, can handle up to 24 GByte of DDR3 RAM.
Access is via the triple-channel controller built into the processor, detail that increases the maximum bandwidth available to the solutions LGA1156. To take full advantage of this technology you need to install three modules of RAM, with frequencies up to 1,600 MHz, according to the color of the six benches provided by the Sapphire motherboard.
