Microsoft has updated the minimum specifications for Windows Phone 7. So far, it was mostly to impose a specific hardware configuration with no other choice chip Snpadragon classic (1 GHz Adreno 200), Microsoft seems a bit open its aircraft. Because Microsoft's policy is flawed: if imposing a hardware configuration allows us to offer appliances that are all effective, it standardizes the park and does not originality.
In the new specifications, it keeps a lot of limitations: 256 MB RAM and 8 GB of storage to a minimum, a 800 x 480 screen multitouch with at least 4 points taken into account and a 5 megapixel camera. Both changes affect the arrival of the gyro, in addition to the accelerometer, but also more choices in processors.
We stay in Qualcomm, but most of the 8x50, there is also the 8x55 and 7x30, both chips feature a GPU Adreno 205. The upper limit frequency also decreases slightly, from 1 GHz to 800 MHz. With the recent Snapdragon, the graphical portion of Windows smartphones Phone 7 should be much faster, which is more in games.
Remains to be seen if the smartphone manufacturers to differentiate their products will arrive with new opportunities.
