Motorola develops its own mobile operating system

Motorola is putting up a team of developers to create their own mobile operating system and eliminate its dependence on Android. Engineers, Information Week report, have arrived in recent months from Adobe and Apple. A computer engineer, Gilles Drieu, had led to the development team of Apple apps and rich media content, participating in the ratification of web standards under the supervision of the W3C.

Motorola has not commented on the news and said he would not own an operating system that does not have a complete ecosystem. Recent acquisitions, such as 280 North, and ZumoDrive 3LM, support, the idea of a web-based OS. On the other hand, the decision could have a sense today signed any smartphone uses a Motorola Android operating system.

In the event that it gets the interest in this platform, the American company would suffer greatly. In addition, the lawsuit against Microsoft for infringing several patents Motorola Android could lead to a ban on imports of Android phones.
