Sparkle Computer, one of the most loyal partner nVidia has announced a new proposal based on the GeForce GTX 580. We refer to the solution called Sparkle Thermal Guru GTX 580 card, featuring a special cooling system lighter and more performance than the stock heatsink. The Taiwanese manufacturer has used a three-section radiator fins made of super-thin aluminum and crossed by four copper heatpipes as well.
The entire assembly process heatsinks + heatpipes in direct contact and with no welding. Above are two 80mm fans with aerodynamic shroud. The entire structure now has half the weight of the stock solution from nVidia but nevertheless offers a superior cooling efficiency (Sparkle said lower operating temperatures of about 5 ° C, ed.) The sink always occupies two slots, but the light weight made it possible to mount a single PCI bracket hook instead of the classical solution dual-bracket.
The GTX 580 Sparkle Thermal Guru adopts PCB referece - but the color blue - and operates at the same frequencies suggested by nVidia: 772/1544/4008 MHz (GPU / SPs / Mem). Price and availability on the market not reported.
